torrentHound.com updates the all new advanced interface with Magnet link feature

torrentHound.com adds magnet link
As we people are doing sins every-time connecting to the network as a part of piracy deeds. Any thing we go for searching it will be the torrents which gonna provide us as a must. Here I'm talking about the most popular torrent site torrentHound.com which is somehow lagging behind piratebay & kat in the contents. But the seed ratio is always high as we know but the very feature we were missing with the magnet link availability.

But the issue is closed by today that it facilitates both magnet link & .torrent files at the same line along with the seed & leech count.

People must know which one to prefer whether it is a magnet link or .torrent file. I will explain very shortly that if you require the file immediately as per your necessity & connection speed always prefer magnet link. But if the file size is too large that it will not be completed at once then choose the .torrent file as it keeps the tracker & data information quite good. Also you can transfer your files along with the .torrent file to resume it in another device which is not possible in magnet links. If the file size so large then every time you reconnect it will take longer time for the checking the older downloaded files in case of magnet links while it will take fewer secs in .torrent files support.

Choose wisely and enjoy piracy :)

Remove duplicate items from the Gnome application section

By mistake I make some changes to important system files to bring transparency effects once, installing Gnome shell 3.6 in Linux Mint . I don't remember exactly what i did but due to this all the icons in application area of Gnome-Shell were appearing twice.
Hence here are some of the steps may help you resolve the problems:
  • Open /var/lib/menu-xdg/applications/menu-xdg from that window.
  • All the files have their name with the extension .desktop
  • Now open terminal and change the directory to that particular drive
  • Type sudo rm *.desktop
  • Open /usr/share/applications delete duplicate icons or unnecessary icons from here
*In any case files will have name something like this "X-Debian-Games-Toys-oclock.desktop" (This file will be shown as oclock application in Gnome shell). Delete the files having extension .desktop  whose icons are displayed twice

Google Chrome: Update Server not available (error 3) issue solved

The regular users who love chrome as their home always want to be with an updated notice like 'Google chrome is up to date.' But the problem is without proper installation of chrome there is another annoying notification comes "Update Server not available (error 3)".
It happens because whenever we go for downloading the browser there is only the installer file all we get from the official website, hence we search for some offline installer. These offline installer don't belong to the mother channel so produces error 3.
As a tip, I would advice you to avoid FileHippo or any other 3rd party hosting site, and whenever possible go for the direct source of a program. Here are the official links for Google Chrome, Google Chrome Beta , Google Chrome Developer and Canary build:

Change the Windows font

Whenever we come about a good font in any servbice we want it to be all over the surface but still don't know how to change the windows font in Windows OS. Here I came across through very easy steps from the Microsoft help desk.

To change Windows fonts

  1. Open Appearance Settings by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type window color, and then click Change window colors and metrics.
  2. In the Item list, click the part of Windows that you want to change the font for. For example, if you want to change the menu font, click Menu in the list. Then, make any of the following changes:
    • In the Font list, click the font that you want to use.
    • In the Size list, click the font size that you want.
    • In the Color list, click the font color that you want.
  3. Repeat these steps for each item that you want to make changes to, and then click OK.

Upgrade Ubuntu 12.10 to 13.04 easy way

If you want to upgrade, not install a fresh system off of a DVD or USB device, you can use this method suggested on the #ubuntu+1 IRC channel:
  • sudo sed -i 's/quantal/raring/' /etc/apt/sources.list
  • sudo apt-get update
  • sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
The easiest way to update from 12.10 to 13.04, just open the terminal and type this:
  • sudo do-release-upgrade -d
Ubuntu 13.04 is in beta for now. Hence it is still recommended to go through your own risk.
