Using the Facebook Shortcuts from Keyboard in your Browser

Usually we roam in the desktop with our mouse.But it is more easier to navigate from your keyboard with lots of shortcut keys.whenever we browse through any social network sites like Orkut, Facebook, MSN, LinkdIn etc..there are so many shortcuts available for easy navigation.The shortcuts work generally by pressing the Alt + key. But if you are using Firefox, only pressing the Alt key and then the shortcut key will not work exactly as the Alt key go with Firefox’s own controls. To use the Facebook shortcut in Firefox, add another key “Shift” before that combination i.e the shortcuts tuns into Shift + Alt + Key for Firefox. For the other browser like Chrome, Opera, Safari, just the “Alt + key” works fine. However, this shortcuts may not be working properly in Internet Explorer.

Navigation in Facebook

1. Alt + 1: Moves you to Facebook news feed (landing page).
2. Alt + 2: Shortcut to open Facebook profile.
3. Alt + 3: Directs you to Friend requests page for a quick approval or disapproval of any friend request.
4. Alt + 4: Opens the messages panel in Facebook.
5. Alt + 5: Shortcut to opens the Facebook notifications panel (third to the right of the left top corner).
6. Alt + 6: The root of  your Facebook’s “Account” page where you can manage permissions and tweak the settings.
7. Alt + 7: The “Privacy” page shortcut.
8. Alt + 8: It open the Facebook’s “Facebook page”.
9. Alt + 9: Opens the “terms and condition” page.
10. Alt + 0: If you need some help guide, press this key to quickly open the “Help” Page.

• Run command (alt+f2)
• Type KPackageKit
• Go to Internet option
• Type "Blogilo"
• Now select "Install"
• "apply" on the right bottom corner
• Clear the authentication
• After completion of download ,search it from the KDE main menu

You have to add an account to facilitate most of the feature in Blogilo.

Also you can post directly from the client & preview your blog right from there.

Now blog with a kde workspace which feel you with the plasma .Enjoy it..

Play Flash without flash player in your browser (No admin rights required)

Usually students have problem to access flash videos in you tube or daily motion etc in colleges/universities where you are a guest to the PC.So you can not install any flash player or missing plugin related to flash player.In case you have an emergency and you are unable to install Adobe flash player you try this. This will be applicable for browsers other than Google Chrome because it has inbuilt Flash Player.

• Use Internet Explorer instead of Mozilla Firefox (Because sometime Firefox cant download in the desirable dependencies)
• Download this file from here
• In case it is not a zip file you rename as any .zip or .rar file from .xpi file
• Copy the files flashplayer.xpt and NPSWF32.dll
• Start→Run→Type in %APPDATA% or %APPSDATA%→ok
• Go to Mozilla  folder
• Paste the two files into the folder "plugins"
• If not present then create a folder and rename as "plugins"(careful with the spelling)
• Now restart your Fox browser. And finally it works...

Installation :

Download here. Select the latest version of installer and download. Notice that you have enough space in your primary partition. Because it will take near about 1 GB .
